SAMPELOT GALAPONG OR GINATAAN HALO-HALO

My sissy was craving for “GINATAAN HALO-HALO / SAMPELOT GALAPONG / SINANTAN” yesterday so we planned to cook one for our meryenda today…ooops! Before I tell you the ingredients and procedures of this dish maybe some of you are not familiar with the name of this dish especially the word “ SAMPELOT GALAPONG / SINANTAN” – kapampangan word for GINATAAN (a Filipino term, foods cook with gata/coconut milk). I’m a kapampangan so I just shared a simple word that we used. The procedure of this dish is very simple but you must have the patience in preparing the ingredients…ahaha! So here it is….
Ingredients:
- Coconut milk
- Saba Bananas
- glutinous rice flour (bilo-bilo)
- sago
- langka (jack fruit)
- sweet potato
- sugar
Procedures:
- boil coconut milk
- add the sweet potato, then after few minutes put the bilo-bilo
- let it for 10mins then put another coconut milk, put the bananas, langka and sago then the sugar…then let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes and it’s done!
As simple as that! Serve it for your meryenda or maybe for a dessert…^_^
