I was so excited to post this puchero recipe because it was me who actually cooked this dish for my family. When my mom asked me to prepare this dish, my reaction was “a big no on my face! “ ahaha! Why? Because I don’t even know how to cook this puchero…but my mom insist that I’ll be the one who will prepare for our lunch and I’m glad I did because I’m proud to say that I did it perfectly! I heard it when my mom and dad says that it taste really good! Wooot! Simple appreciation from them made me really happy! Procedures:

  • Boil pork in a medium pot with just enough water to cover meat. Let simmer until tender,
  • fry the bananas and potatoes
  • saute garlic and onions, next put the atsuete, and then put the pork
  • add tomato sauce let it for 3mins, pour the pork broth, and put first the string beans followed by potatoes and bananas. Let it boiled …put a little fish sauce
  • Then put the cabbage..
  • serve hot
