LECHON BABOY OR HOG ROAST IN THE UK?

My aunt called from UK and ask me if I could help her find over the internet a hog roast hire near her vicinity.  I was hesitant at first because I doubted that a hog roast or famously known here in the Philippines as ” Lechon Baboy ” would be available in here place.  I was shocked to know that there is really hog roast being cooked in her area and it is really famous also on special occasions.  

I really thought ” Lechon Baboy ” or roast hog is really unique in the Philippines and nearby countries but I was wrong they also have in UK and other European countries.  Now, I am wondering if other countries like USA have this kind of food.  I was browsing to the hog roast hire I found and I noticed that they roast their hogs or pigs in a different way compared to how they cooked it here in the Philippines.  Check out the image on the left for a preview of how they hog roast.

At least now I know, I could find ” lechon baboy ” or hog roast to almost any European countries and I hope other Asian countries and USA as well.

Oh by they way.. here in the Philippines, we put apple in the mouth of the roast pig.  I forgot why we do that. Can anyone refresh me please?
